Coventry is a working market for cakes & desserts — Warwickshire country houses and historic civic venues a short drive from Birmingham. Briefs come in for Coombe Abbey, St Mary's Guildhall and Ansty Hall and plenty of private and corporate spaces around the West Midlands.
Local jobs generally pay £350–£900 for a wedding cake. Bookt takes 7.5% only when a booking confirms — months without work cost you nothing.
When a customer in Coventry requests quotes, Bookt sends you the brief — date, venue, guest count, budget — and you decide whether to reply. Peak season fills first, so a complete profile matters most going into summer.

Create your free profile →No. Creating your profile and listing in Coventry is completely free. There's no monthly subscription, no listing fee and no pay-to-rank. You only pay a 7.5% commission when a customer confirms a booking with you.
Customers in and around Coventry submit quote requests on Bookt with their date, location and brief. We match the request to cakes & desserts who cover that area and you can reply with a personalised quote. You control your pricing, availability and what you say yes to.
Every cake maker sets their own rates — Bookt doesn't cap or cut your price. We take 7.5% only when a booking completes. So if you quote £1,500 and the customer books, Bookt's fee is £112.50 and you keep £1,387.50. No subscription means it costs you nothing in months where you don't book.
No — Bookt matches by your travel radius, not your postcode. Any cake maker who covers Coventry as part of their service area can apply for jobs here, whether you're based in the city itself or commuting in for events.
The customer pays a 25% deposit when they book, held in Stripe. If the event is more than 30 days away, the deposit transfers to your payout account 30 days after booking (less our 7.5%). If the event is sooner, the deposit transfers after you mark the job done and the customer confirms — usually next day. The remaining 75% is paid directly between you and the customer on whatever terms you agree.
