About
Good creatives. Fair fees.
No runaround.
Bookt is a UK marketplace for people booking wedding and event suppliers — photographers, videographers, DJs, live bands, caterers, mobile bars, entertainers, photo booths, florists, cake makers and more. We built it because the existing options were either faceless classifieds or platforms that quietly took 20%+ of the job while making it harder, not easier, to talk to the person doing the work.
Customers get a free quote in under two minutes. Pros reply with a personal price. A 25% deposit via Stripe locks in the booking; for jobs more than 30 days out it transfers to the pro 30 days after booking. The remaining 75% is paid directly between the two people who'll actually be in the same room on the day — no middle-man clipping the bigger half.
We charge a 7.5% commission to the pro when a booking confirms, and a matching 7.5% service fee to the customer. That's the whole business model — no subscriptions, no pay-to-be-seen tiers, no premium boosts. The best pros rise to the top because of their reviews, not their monthly bill.
We're a small team based in the UK. If something's broken, tell us and we'll fix it. If you think we should do something differently, we'll probably agree.

Why I built Bookt
I've been a DJ since 1996 and shooting weddings as a photographer and videographer for the last six years. Long enough to see every side of how UK creatives find work — and every reason they end up resenting the platforms that promised to bring them clients.
Most of them want a monthly subscription before you've earned a penny. The worst — you know the one — charge you to reply to “leads” that don't exist, ghost the moment you flag a fake, and burn through your card without blinking.
I built Bookt because nobody else was going to. No subscription. No pay-per-lead. No charging both sides for nothing. Just a fair 7.5% when a real booking confirms, and the rest of the time, get out of the way.
Built by a working pro, for working pros. — Sonny, founder
