Hire a caterer in York

There's no fixed rate — each caterer quotes your specific brief. In York, expect roughly £68–£120 per guest, depending on menu. Send one request through Bookt and you'll get personalised quotes back, usually within hours, free and with no obligation.

For weddings and large events, book 6–9 months ahead. Smaller private parties and corporate catering can usually be arranged in 3–4 weeks. If your York date is flexible, mid-week and off-season dates open up far more availability (and often better prices).

Caterers on Bookt regularly work across York and the wider North Yorkshire area, at venues like York Minster, Grays Court, Hornington Manor as well as private homes, marquees and corporate spaces. Name your venue in the quote request — pros who already know it can quote more accurately.

Yes. Every caterer listed on Bookt is reviewed before publishing — we check their portfolio, real client reviews and insurance. Verified pros carry a ✓ Verified badge on their listing.

You pay a deposit when you book through Bookt, held securely until the job is done. The balance is released to the caterer after the event. If plans change, our cancellation policy is published on each listing — no chasing the pro for a refund.

Most caterers listed in York also cover surrounding towns and travel across the UK for bigger bookings. Add your venue address to your quote request and we'll filter to pros who cover it.
